Responsibilities

•Implementing, monitoring and maintaining consistent product and service standards across all departments in a limited service hotel including Housekeeping, Maintenance, Front Desk, Food & Beverage

•Understanding safe food handling practices and the AR laws for the distribution and sale of alcohol

•Accountable for all the overall delivery of the branded guest experience and able to run a dependable operation that makes travel enjoyable

•Overseeing guest feedback and ensuring action is taken on all aspects of the experience that need to improve

•Understanding the hotel brand and leading its execution, through both service and product, to deliver a consistent brand experience

•Using guest loyalty to drive hotel performance through consistent and high quality recognition throughout the guest experience

•Hiring the right people for the right roles, supporting the training of team members on the right skills, involving the team, communicating engagement and recognizing great work

•Ensuring effective coaching and training is in place to build the skills and performance of team members

•Motivating the team and helping them understand how their roll contributes to the success to the hotel

•Working closely with Director of Sales to ensure revenue goals are met

•Building and maintaining a very strong network of contacts, having high visibility and involvement in the local community

•Keeping up-to-date changes in the identified market and adapting quickly to deal with potential threats from the competition

•Daily room inspections with Head Housekeeper

•Spend time on the floor with the teams in the hotel to spot and reward good performance, listen to what is going on and address performance issues quickly

•Work closely with Maintenance Engineer to ensure all maintenance issues are taken care of in a timely manner

•Although position is generally Monday thru Friday, Holidays and weekends are required

•Position is responsible for ensuring 24/7 coverage of hotel
